With one in four people experiencing mental health issues each year, and with stress, anxiety and depression being the biggest cause of sickness absence from work, we are all likely to come into contact with someone suffering from mental ill health. Work-related stress alone accounted for 45% of all working days lost to ill health in 2015/16 (Health and Safety Executive, 2017).
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the mental health equivalent of physical first aid

MHFA England’s mission is to help people develop the skills to look after their own and others' wellbeing and reduce the stigma associated with mental ill health. They are the only provider of licensed Mental Health First Aid Instructor Training in England. Information about MHFA England and its courses can be found at

We are approved to deliver the following two recognised courses:
- Adult MHFA Two Day - completion of this course qualifies those attending as Mental Health First Aiders
- Adult MHFA Refresher - a half day course for people who have already completed the two-day MHFA course (MHFA England recommend an annual refresher to all qualified Mental Health First Aiders)
The training provides participants with the skills and confidence to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and effectively guide a person towards the right support. It is applicable to people in all works of life.
Courses can be delivered on-site for a single organisation or a group of organisations - if required we can source local delivery premises, although this will increase the price of the course. We deliver the two day course for groups of 6-12 people and the Refresher course for groups of 6-18. The two day course may be delivered on consecutive days or split, according to customer needs.
MHFA value their courses as £300 per person for a two day course and £125 for a half day course.
